Akuma introduces Pace Setters, a new running and athletics collection designed for performance in motion. Built around technical precision and athlete-testing, the campaign showcases how bespoke design, and performance fabric supports athletes at every level.

At the centre is the Pace Setters film – focused on movement and the moment when athletes transition from stillness to pace. Featherweight fabrics, breathable construction and unrestricted fits are brought to life on the track where real athletes demonstrate performance as it happens.

Shot with a focus on authenticity, the campaign features real athletes in motion, each representing their own pace, a different stride, yet unified by the same intent – to move better.

The running collection is built around performance. Every fabric, seam and panel has been considered to reduce weight, improve breathability and maximise freedom of movement.

The lightweight construction creates a second-skin feel, designed to support without restriction. Moisture-wicking and ventilation ensure the kit performs under pressure, allowing the athlete to maintain focus when it matters the most – the run.

The campaign unfolds through a combination of film and still imagery, capturing the transition from static detail to dynamic movement.

The imagery captures key moments – fabrics during movement, tension, design, fit and pace. Custom kit design is brought to life, showing how every element functions at speed. Together, these elements form a complete picture of not only what the product looks like, but how it performs.

Created in collaboration with emerging talent from Birmingham City University, Pace Setters reflects a shared approach to performance-led design. The collection is designed not just to keep up, but to lead, with all athletes considered.
